by South East Marketing Agency Media Word Waves

Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells was home to this year’s Young Start-up Talent showcase where we discovered our 2015 winner, Dean Day, who is walking away with a £50k prize fund worth of business products and services for his first year of business. The five finalists came together to set up their individual stands in a bid to exhibit their businesses they have worked tirelessly to perfect. The event was attended by a host of representatives from the local business community, finalists and their families. All were impressed by the high standards of those that have progressed throughout the process and the young entrepreneurs behind them.

It was announced that the 2015 winner was 24 year old Dean Day - founder of independent games studio 'Greenlight Games'. Dean's vision is to support students, graduates and other indie studios.

“Young Start-up Talent has been great, I have learnt a lot. I have learnt from the other young people too and helped each other improve our businesses. I can’t wait to see what’s next, I’m hoping I can look at employing some staff to help develop the business.

Dean’s parents commented "We're so excited, he has worked so hard and we knew he'd get there, we just can't believe he's won."

Michael Stevens of Cripps added “I have been really impressed to see so many young people with such great ideas and such confidence to present to the judges. It really is great to encourage more attention on young people in business. I am glad this is happening in West Kent.
