Why does your business need to engage with online media?

We thought we should share the following stats that might help persuade you to see the value of online media:
* Over 150 million users are registered with LinkedIn
* 1 billion people now using YouTube
* 127 million active users on twitter with 83% of users reported seeing news from Twitter
* Nearly 250 million subscribers across Europe are using Facebook with the average user visiting the site approx. 40 times per month and spending an average of 23 minutes each visit.
Given the above stats, it may be something that you and your business might like to take advantage of.
Facebook is still the dominant site especially with adults, with the fastest growing demographic being aged 45-54.
Our research found that the top brand in the UK using Facebook is Amazon with 4,312,366 likes to their page!
It is important to understand the different forms of online media and which will serve you and your business best. What works for one business will not necessarily be the best option for your business.
One common factor with all of the above, and these are just the dominant sites, you need to engage with other users.
You should post useful content and comment on others by liking or giving feedback. Think about your potential customers, which online tools are they using and what are your customers likely to watch or listen to?
